How do I unlock Lumia 920 after receiving my Unlock Code? O2 Ireland.

Hi guys, I'm on O2 Ireland and I received an email with the unlock code today, however I have not gotten any prompt for putting in the code and when I dial ##782# nothing happens, the keyboard just closes. How do I unlock the device? It's extremely frustrating!

I tried this and I was never given a prompt. Any idea whats wrong?

If it doesn't give you a prompt then your phone is already unlocked?

If not then I'm sorry I can't help you. I wouldn't know what's wrong.

After you've put in another sim card try to make a phone call, it should prompt you then.

4 - The Nokia Lumia 920 would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!

The letter p appears if you press the button star(*) three times quickly
The letter w appears if you press the button star(*) four times quickly
The symbol + appears if you press the button star(*) two times quickly
The CODE you need to enter is the unique unlock code for your Nokia Lumia 920 .

How did you unlock it at last? In lumia 920 you cannot enter p, w as it shows by pressing *, it wouldn't do it.

I'm trying to unlock my AT&T Lumia 920 using the above steps (don't have an alternate carrier sim to use), and I cannot get the letters/symbols to show up using the * button either. Is there any other way to unlock without a different sim (note, I have the AT&T unlock code already).
