Storage Check problems

So when the 1308 update came a while ago, the Nokia storage check worked perfectly fine. Now the circle never stops spinning and I can't clear my "other" cache.
I've been ignoring this problem for a while now but its just irritating now. I saw somewhere that a hard reset fixes it, but I'm very wary of doing that because alot of my apps and games are free turned paid and the like. Is there any way to fix it without a hard reset or am I stuck?

You could try the Lumia storage check app from Nokia Beta Labs if you haven't already. It installs in your app list.

If you do perform a factory reset you can still re-install all your apps that were once free and are now paid without having to pay for them. Just tap on buy and you will be able to install the app again.

Wow, I tried the storage check beta before, and it didn't work, but now it works.. Thanks for the help!
