When is GDR2 Expected for L920

As Samsung and HTC have already released GDR2 for their devices any idea when we get it

Soon, I hope! With all the praise Nokia gets for continued updates in general, there must be a good reason for the update not being released yet. I think it will roll out before the end of the month!

AT&T won't release the update until the 1020 is out and about for a little while. They just rolled out a new phone upgrade program and I'm sure they want 920 customers to become 1020 customers. That won't happen as much if they update the 920. Just guessing how AT&T thinks :^)

I thought GDR2 and Amber were being rolled out for lumias in one hit and Amber isn't quite ready for upload to all lumias.

Hmm. I never expected the update to be as late as mid-August.
92x line should receive the update around that time.
Also, the 810 has been tested for the update, so it should come at the same time as the 925, so it should be soon.

My guess is that the carriers will actually update their devices first (save for AT&T)

For many other countries as well they are still on 1308, for countries like us I think wait is much longer. If you are US based customer then above posts indicate that it is coming somewhere in August.

FYI: 1308 IS the latest version. If you were thinking about the 1314 update, that was only released to fix some connectivity issues that were specific to the US, otherwise it's exactly the same thing.

Carrier testing is expected to be completed on August 14, rollout will begin then. Depending on where you live, it'll be available between late August and the end of October. For portico, European users got the update last (about 2 months after the rollout began), those in the US first.

Good to know that but I think I heard somewhere that 1314 is released in HK and Australia as well. Personally I dont have any connectivity problems but I do feel my battery life degraded with 1308

Ok, it might have been released in other regions too, but its sole purpose was to fix connectivity issues in those regions. There was an article about that here on WP Central back then to clear up the confusion. So you're not missing out on anything.

Im speaking about Nokia! Nokia's core market is Europe. They may wish to penetrate the US market, but theyre still a very small player there. Europe is Nokia's bread and butter.

The old Nokia is no more, my friend. Nokia makes less than 10% of its sales in Europe. 20% USA, the rest goes to South America and India.

Waiting for this update for my Lumia 902 Unlocked (Bought it in Brazil)

I'm expecting this because of the camera, I don't like the focus and quality of the picture so far... and a lot people told me this AMBER fix that problem!
