Why can't I fit more tiles on my 920 than my 820?

I just upgraded from the 820 to the 920. I was expecting to have more tiles visable on the screen at a time since the 920 has a higher resolution, but things look the same as my 820. I also noticed that with apps like Twitter and Nextgen Reader, I'm not getting more tweets/articles on the screen. It seems like everything has just been scalled instead of taking advantage of the extra pixels. Why is this?

Simple. It doesn't have any benefit.

Besides, the WP homescreen doesn't scale according to screen size. Wait for a phablet with GDR3 if you want to fit more on-screen.
