I bought a Lumia 920 in December 2012. Terrific phone, but there is a very annoying issue: it won't detect OS updates.
My phone is still stuck in OS version 8.0.9903.10 as of 25 November 2013 - that's not even GDR1. When I check for updates, it always replied that my phone is up to date, which it obviously is not.
It has now accumulated 16Gb of "Other" storage, taking up half the space of my phone memory that I can't delete because Storage Check won't work. Now I'm left with a about 450Mb of space left.
I bought this phone in Malaysia, unlocked. Currently I'm based in China, using a Chinese Unicom sim card. At first I thought that switching the region would help, but so far I've tried countless countries (US, UK, Malaysia, China, HK, Philippines, etc) and nothing still happens.
Any ideas how I could overcome this problem?
