Lumia 920 people cannot hear what I say on phone call

Hello, I am using Lumia 920.

My Lumia's status is very strange.

When I using skype to my family, phone call's quality is perfect. But, When I using normal phone call to my family, my voice is very low and my family said "I can't hear your voice. Please say more loudly.".

I open my 920 and clean with air compresser. But still Phone call is strange.

I reset my SW by using Camera Button+Power Button method.
But still strange.

When I change phone mode to speaker phone mode(hands free mode?), mic works fine.
Maybe this means my HW is not out of service. Maybe it is SW's problem.

Any body can help me?

My lumia 920 is the same your. I also don't know how to solve this. Anyone helps please !!

It's a problem with the noise cancellation mic on top next ti the headphone jack. Mine does it too. They can hear you if you put them on speakerphone.

I too have the same problem! It's been there for the past 6 months. Couldn't find a solution.

Happening to me too, started like a month or so ago I guess and is extremely annoying

Likely a noise cancellation mic issue (the five small pinholes on top of the phone). See Lumia 920 - Anybody with mic sensitivity problems ... - Page 2 - Nokia Support Discussions

I had this problem. I solved it by enlarging the holes on that.

All you need to do is look up a youtube video on how to open our phone.

Remove the screen.
Remove the audio jack/microphone assembly (mine had double face tape on it)

Use a small circular file or similar to make the holes bigger. Reassemble.

My holes are maybe 75% bigger in diameter, and this issue has gone away.

Actually just blew out the holes with compressed air. All good now. Thanks for the tip.
