How do I get my Lumia 920 power button working?

Lumia 920 Power Button

My Lumia 920's power button doesn't work anymore. I replaced the ribbon Flex cable several times, but it still doesn't work. Could this be software related or is it hardware relates? (I already did a hard reset)

does it click? if not it might be the inside that has broken off.

Sure you may have replaced the cable, but what about the actual button?

I doubt it can be a software issue.

Something to look for, which I hope isn't as confusing as it may sound:
On the button itself, on the board, there is a little plastic insert that goes into the button. It is like a plunger that makes the button push.

I replaced the screen on my 920 a few days ago, and the power button didn't work afterwards. I also noticed this very tiny plastic piece that looked like a trident on the table. I took the back off again, and noticed that volume and camera buttons had plastic inserts, and the power did not. Even I could figure out that I had knocked that piece out in the replacement process.

I put it back in, and all is well now.
