Why is my LTE signal so weak on my unlocked Lumia 920?

Weak LTE Signal in Unlocked Lumia 920

I purchased an unlocked Lumia 920 online which is the Rogers Wireless variant to use with my T-Mobile SIM Card here in the US. I was able to connect to the LTE network but the signal is weaker than on my previous phone. I am only getting 2-3 bars for the LTE signal in a place where I used to get 4-5 bars. Is this normal since this isn't a T-Mobile Phone.

I'm getting the same thing, but mine is worse than you, my 4g keeps dropping to 3g then it cuts out and connects back several times through the day.... my L920 is a Rogers phone and unlocked also... using it on videotron provider... wonder if it has anything to do with these Rogers phones?

If your previous phone was a T-Mobile phone then it's normal. T-Mobile phones usually show a better signal strength with T-Mobile SIMs than other phones with the T-Mobile SIM. It shouldn't affect the call quality though

I can make calls and send text messages normally. The problem is that I cannot connect to the internet using a Cellular Connection only via wifi. I tried different APN settings Yesterday and none worked.

I have used a Rogers unlocked Lumia 920 on T-Mobile before and I didn't have any issues with data. I was not using Access Point to enter the data settings but entered the MMS and Data settings manually under cellular+settings. One thing you could try is press ##3282# from the dialer and enter Field Test mode and make sure all LTE bands are selected. When I switched to Cricket, for some reason LTE Band 4 was disabled and I had to manually enable it.

how do manually set it? by choosing 4g? all mine is on automatic..

I think it has something to do with the LTE bands supported by L920. Check your provider's LTE band if it is within your L920's.
