Recorded video drops frames and loses audio

My 920 drops video and audio sometimes for a few frames or for several seconds. Sometimes only the first few seconds of audio is recorded then the rest is silence.

Playback on the phone and PC with VLC (or any other video player) results in the same problem. I did some googling but I can't find anyone else having this problem, which is weird because my Lumia 800 suffered from the EXACT same problems and I just assumed it was a lemon.

I can't be the only person with this issue!

Problems start around 0:25
All audio is lost at around 1:27
After that audio comes and goes from 1:50 onwards

As you can see, recording video like this is pretty useless, the video is completely unedited and original. I recorded motorway driving to best capture the lost frames. There was music playing from the car for the entire time.
