Issue syncing my contacts from google

Ok so this is an odd one, I got my lumia added my google account, checked to sync email, calendar and contacts. Everything looked good until I went to text a friend and his name didn't pop up, when 3 others did. I looked through and random people are missing, some are newly added some are ones I've had forever no certain lettering or any pattern I can see. Anyone know what this could be? I've pretty much found them all and readded them on the phone but not sure which I missed.

Never had that issue. You might want to try and remove the google account and add it back.
Also, make sure you check the settings in the people app, filters.

I seem to remember similar -- double check on the web in the Contacts section. Some may get shuffled off to a group that doesn't sync.

Remove the account and add giogle account in People instead in email section.

hmm i did try unchecking contacts and rechecking, that didn't fix but removing the account completely and redoing worked thanks!

I'm not saying I came up with it myself lol I just assumed wrong on the removing people thanks for the advice

Glad it worked. I had similar issue when I switched from 900 to 920.

I am having a similar issue after a factory reset. When I add google in the account section none of my contacts show up. If I try and add it in the People Hub section it won't even give me an option to select a Google account. Any thoughts?
