Hi, only 3rd day of wp 8.1 having exchanged my HTC One for a Lumia 930.

I've seen few references to gdr2, what is this, do I need it?

Hey Steve! Yes to above posts. Update 2 only adds a few things. Not worth taking any risks to install it. Sure hope you enjoy using your phone and welcome!

How you finding the change from the Htc one (Android) ? I had one of those and really thought it was a great phone.
I to am considering a swop onto the Lumia 930.
Thanks

Generally very good, most apps I use are available, some not but nothing major.

Does take some getting used to but no regrets so far, but certainly looking forward to windows 10 phone.

If you were an "ok google" user, be sure to enable the "Hey Cortana" feature. Use it multiple times a day. I use an LG G2 at work so I know some of the differences you're dealing with. I tried W10TP on my 930 but rolled back to 8.1. More issues at this point than I want to deal with on my main phone. Having fun playing with it on my 635 though(walmart...$47).

Just FYI...I haven't noticed any significant battery hit using "Hey Cortana", if that's a concern for you. The location based reminders are particularly helpful to me. Double tap to wake is useful as well.
