    The current Windows 8 release should be tablet only because Metro works really well with touch and Kinect or a gamepad. But it doesn't work well with a mouse or keyboard. I know because I have used the preview on Microsoft's website.

    I think what Microsoft needs to do is make tiles that don't have information that frequently updates have an option to make them transparent except for the tile's logo. People commonly call those items "icons". :)

    In the end I think what they will do is offer a way you can start up in desktop mode for PC's....for tablets it will be Metro only..

    I don't know I've been using WIN8 on my desktop. I'm really enjoying it. The live tiles offers me the info I want and need. I can pan-over to desktop at anytime. The things I like are reading mail in win8. but I dislike hitting a link in mail when the browser takes it there is no way of going back to mail unless you go back to metro...
