Accidentally deleted files in PC OneDrive

So I stopped my OneDrive client and deleted all my OneDrive files on my desktop computer unintentionally and realized that I deleted the current OneDrive folder (I upgraded my Windows several times, so there were several OneDrive folders in the Windows.old folders). I immediately halted the OneDrive client to sync, and the OneDrive online and the one on my Surface Pro 3 still has the files. I wonder how I can recover the files back on my desktop computer and stop it from deleting my online files? I can't stop it from syncing forever. My desktop computer runs Windows 8.1, so I cannot re-install OneDrive.

I just have the same problem.

I accidently deleted a folder in Onedrive on my pc via explorer that was not sync to Onedrive Cloud. So there isn't any copy of it through the OneDrive web version or in the recycle bin. I couldn't find it in my pc recycle bin either because the folder contains files that were huge. Is there a way for me to recover them in the hdd?

If your files were stored on PC, you can try restoring them using some recovery apps. There are many free versions available
