Why do I get purple strips on my photo?

I was at a museum over the weekend and in some cases my photos came out with a purple strip along the sides of the photo. What would be the cause of this? It was quite dark in some rooms and I was avoiding any direct light shining at the camera. I took several shots and some turn out fine and some turn out like this.



Any information would be greatly appreciated!

first of, what phone did you taken it with? what software did you use? is there something blocking the camera sensor by the time you took this photo?

Im not a expert on this but I had the same problem with my htc one android version(but who knows if its also with windows phone), camera software update did a bit of improvement but using other camera software fix the problem

This was shot with a 1520 using Lumia Camera. There was nobody around me when taking this picture. I also made sure my lens was clean.

I guess I'll have to wait and see when denim rolls out if its a software issue.
