If there were a way to pay a reasonable amount to have ads removed, I’d be thrilled.

Yet another reason (as if any more are needed ) for not using the start menu. I have not used it in 25 years.

So hey MS. Keep on putting ads in the start menu. I will never see them.

Don't give them any ideas... it's at least free to turn this off in the Settings as the screenshot shows lol
