No cortana even after changin region

I had changed my region to us n downloaded update but still i dont have cortana. What to do

Settings -> Language, make sure English (US) is at the top of the list. Press and hold to move it up. Restart.
Then wait for it to be downloaded/updated (if necessary).

i can't even change the language :S i don't get it...i put region USA and language English USA but i can't delete Croatian :S

We have to change keyboard to US English, but when I am trying to download Its giving error

Check time and date, my date was set back to march 22nd hence I could not download anything, I just changed date and restarting, will let u know if it works

Okay do these, first check the date and time, update it manually

then check language and change it to US

next change keyboard to US English and

finally change region to US

I am downloading keyboard and language and let u know after restart

ok, it's back up...but there is no english USA for language :S

Go to phone updates.
Wait till it downloads an update to update your language.
It will restart the phone, install update.
Once you are back up, Cortana will be installed as an app.

How long does a restore typically take? I reset my phone and the restore has been on 93% for the past 15 minutes.

I just did this, made a hard reset, did all the settings you provided and cortana still disnt appear on my htc 8x

Make sure in Settings -> Language - English (US) is the first one in the list. Tap and hold to move it up.
