Ubuntu is alright as a desktop os, but as a phone? erm, no. The idea is you plug it into a monitor. Its not a phone os. The question should be. Would you find having a full desktop os available on your phone that you could plug into a monitor/keyboard/mouse be helpful? The answer? Probably...

Version 4 is now released which was a complete rewrite. Now its live, there are a few bugs floating about and ive submitted a fix for them a minute ago so hopefully all will be well in a few days.

Just to check, your surface is all upto date is it? There was a firmware fix for wifi a week or so ago. I had a surface paired with a lumia 800, but not tried it with my 920 yet.

I really want to buy it, but not at that price. Just been talking to a reseller and it seems EE deal is not an exclusive as such. EE just bought all the stock Nokia were offering, so when they have made more, we will see more in the country. The reseller thought they were be much more...

Tempting to get a 920 then get it unlocked straight away.

For wp8 it would be easier as you could use your own developed in app payment system that could be plugged into developers for this purpose.
