    HTC 8x with Cortana ?

I think that's the reason why we can't get Cortana is because we can't change the phone language to United States. I can get the rest changed over but not that one.

How would you improve the marketing of the 2nd gen Surface RT

Microsoft needs to solve the marketplace issue with apps before they try to promote the Surface RT 2. Having a machine dependant on that marketplace spells death if they don't get the major apps in there.

If WP8 gets big, do you think Samsung comes in and bulldoze Nokia out the way?

Unfortunately WP will never be big and Samsung goes where the money is. You'll just get the token phone from them here and there

Everyone i've recommended a WP8 Phone to endlessly complains!

WP is bedt for people that have never had a smart phone. For others the lack of apps and missing features makes it seem like an inferior phone and who can blame them. It's hard to recommend this phone to anyone except the die hard as there's better alternatives out there.

    Let's remember Windows Mobile 6.1 !

WM was great in the fact that it had more features than what WP has today except it ran like crap. How is it that there was more features back then there this now? It makes no sense.

Nokia: Microsoft Must Evolve to Make Windows Phone a Success

MS should just hand over the OS development to Nokia as it looks like they're the only ones interested in it. MS is going way too slow and the GDR updates don't have enough features in them.

Old LG Quantum is updating to 7.8 now! Yay

I'm with Bell and the update worked for mine

OK so here's the fat question: who's decided to return their device?

Yea I guess all those people who were dumb enough to think that hitting the "Reset Phone" button into the settings would actually reset it instead of bricking it. Your battery issues may have worked for you but it doesn't work for everyone as each person has different needs. As for my situation...

OK so here's the fat question: who's decided to return their device?

You're criticizing him because he didn't stick it out for having a bad battery experience? I had to return my phone as well because of bad battery and I followed all the suggestions on the forum until a hard reset bricked my phone. I think he took the smart and safe route to wait until all the...

Rogers Lumia 920 buying and unlocking experience

, I didn't mean for it to sound like it was an attack but it's frustrating hearing someone say it's working when it's clearly hit and miss for people. I was never able to get it to work successfully and I was using the same settings that people who said they got it working did.

Rogers Lumia 920 buying and unlocking experience

Do you have a Rogers phone that is unlocked? If you had first hand experience like some of us have then you would realize that there are issues getting MMS and internet sharing to work on carriers that is not Rogers. If you don't believe us then you should try yourself if you have the phone.

Rogers Lumia 920 buying and unlocking experience

Before I returned my Lumia 920 because it got bricked doing a factory reset I could not get the internet sharing to work on Bell but MMS was working when receiving but I didn't try sending one out. The person that was sending it was on Koodo.

OK so here's the fat question: who's decided to return their device?

I had to return mine after having really bad battery performance and tried to do a factory reset in the settings to see if that would help but then it got bricked. Great phone hardware but the bad battery killed it got me and when it got bricked I had to get rid of it. Sucks because I paid $90...

What I like and don't like on the 920

I tried the same thing adrianvip and it didn't work for me either. I tried resetting my phone to factory underneath the settings but then it bricked the phone so don't try that unless you want to take a chance.

Wasted 1 hour with Rogers. Didn't get L920 unlocked.

You make it sound so easy as that that friend gets to get tossed from customer rep to customer rep and finally to the unlocker which in my case took an hour and a half. After that ordeal I don't think they'll be your friend anymore to make them go through that Rogers **** hole.

    doubled my battery life!

Yep, that means it's bricked. For those that are considering resetting your phone be aware that there is a chance that it can get bricked as it's happened to many people on this forum including myself.

Wasted 1 hour with Rogers. Didn't get L920 unlocked.

I got it unlocked and it was as painful as your experience. Basically if you don't have a Rogers wireless account you have to set one up so they can take the $50 fee from it. I had to activate a pay and go account and buy a micro sim card for $20. Then I set up the account online and put in...

Rogers Lumia 920 (Second Batch) - Locked or Unlocked?

yep, that's what my local unlocker said as well it'll take a couple weeks for the phones to be put in the database and then you'll be able to use the online sites. Anyone that is looking go unlock it should wait as the method to do it with Rogers isn't worth the time and effort.

Lumia 920 battery - Your opinions

I think that most of us here are smart enough to turn the features we don't need off but when you take all the necessary steps to maximum battery life and it still isn't good then there is a problem.

OK so here's the fat question: who's decided to return their device?

I'm not sure why you feel you have to defend why people are not having good battery life with the phone. Yes iPhone and Android had bad battery issues when they first started but they've improved drastically and Nokia and Microsoft have access to the same technology. I think most people when...
