Right now there is very little worth upgrading for. That'll change over time, as more and more WP8-only apps are released. Also right now there are some benefits to staying on WP7, such as Zune and actual working Podcasts.

My Lumia 820 previously worked fine on its wireless charger, but today it is refusing to charge. The LED comes on, and the charger can even cause the phone to boot, but it doesn't actually charge. Have tried rebooting, and power cycling the charger. Edit: Discovered why - one of the 4 pins...

Thanks guys, this has been interesting, but I agree it doesn't seem like we'll find a solution. I'm extremely disappointed in Microsoft for this. We pay a lot of money to upgrade to the new thing, and in return we lose functionality that's important to us.

That's a shame. I was hoping that on a fully working subscribed podcast, the SER file would have some content (perhaps XML) that we could manipulate to add our own podcast URLs etc. I don't know why Microsoft had to make this so difficult.

Input from someone with a working subscription would be really useful, then we can know if the SER files could be the answer.

All I can say is, at least you're able to subscribe. Outside the US we don't seem to be able to do anything with podcasts at all.

There are a few threads on this already. It's a big problem and we don't know if/when it'll be fixed. The only workaround at the moment (outside USA) is to use third party apps such as SlapDash podcasts.

Vibrate problem - very annoying. Camera quality - very poor. No proper way to get podcasts on the phone - inexcusable. And on top of that it's incredibly heavy. Think I'll be selling mine.

The 920 I got on Saturday from EE UK had the rattle, so I took it back today and the new one has the same rattle. Unfortunately EE don't allow returns, only replacement if there's a fault. Probably going to eBay my new one, or trade it in at CEX :-(
