    Any regrets with the 822

I certainly don't regret 2 days, 15 hours with 21% battery remaining, with WiFi and Bluetooth turned on!

How good is the signal on 822?

+1 to the poor signal on the Galaxy Nexus. The 822 blows it away so far!

No voice turn by turn navigation for the Maps app?

My understanding is that Nokia has a period of exclusivity for Drive on its phones, after which it will be released for general use (and then presumably the next version of Drive (+?) will be an exclusive.

What's the best Windows Phone availible for Verizon?

Every device has its compromises and flaws. For me, the balance of features, expandability, and excellent battery life (48 hours to 33%, anyone?) won me over. the 8x is a great device. The 822 seems better for my style of use.

    Battery life= amazing

I'll take a look, but I haven't seen that stat yet. For reference, I have WiFi and Bluetooth on, NFC off, no network joined where I am currently. I wouldn't say I'm using it heavily, but enough to be impressed in the latter half of the second day. (and I'm even more impressed by the soft...

    Battery life= amazing

Going to resurrect this thread for a moment to say that my phone has been off charger for 34 hours now with web, maps, email, text, Facebook access, and several phone calls. I'm at 60%.

    "Liking" responses in Me hub

I receive a notification in the Me hub when a friend posts to Facebook. I can tap the "Like" button to like that post. I can't seem to find a way to like replies to that post, as you can on the Facebook site or app. Am I overlooking something here, or is this not (yet) supported?

    Local Scout

+1. Local Scout is weak - in my area, it tells me that there are restaurants within walking distance, that are either across town, but it doesn't understand north from south, or takes restaurants that are 3 miles away, and gives them a new address that's a block from my house. Bing really is the...

    Call quality?

Far better than the Galaxy Nexus!

    822 Screen

It's definitely a good display, it's just noticeable when you switch from a 720 device like the Galaxy Nexus. One thing I really like about it is the outdoor readability.

    822 Screen

The text is noticeably different to me, but the color and contrast are really, really good.

    Build Quality

My Galaxy Nexus was the same way. This is a *little* better, though, because with the Nexus, you had to pull at the cover. I found that with the 822, all I had to do was pop the battery cover at the notch, and then slide my thumbnail all the way around the cover, and it would come off easily.

    htc 8x reboots=hardware issue?

Definitely hasn't been an issue on the 822. If it develops over time, I'll let you all know - one more data point to help nail down hardware vs OS couldn't hurt...

    Haptic Feedback on 8X

I think it's baked into the OS - the 822 does it as well, however, it's a MUCH more subtle feedback (like 1/4 the strength of the feedback on the 8x).

    Wireless charging stand

Exactly. Ultimately, this may be much ado about nothing, as there aren't even a lot of cases available for the phone yet, let alone charging covers. And carriers are well known for launching without a full array of accessories. It would be better, though, to hold back the charger until the...

    Reviews on Verizonwireless

I guess there's a moderation delay over there, because I gave it 4 stars, and it's not up there? Ultimately, I dinged it a star over the design (the other 800 series designs have a sleeker look, and they managed to make this seem like a really thick phone, despite the fact that it's not much...

First time smartphone buyer, can't decide, 822 or 8X

I'm on the fence about the 822 camera - I liked the one on the 8X, but I'm with o4liberty - the voice quality on calls is definitely better.
