Nokia Lumia 822 auto powering off--WOULD NEVER BUY AGAIN!!!!!

Nevermind, it happened again. It's not the app. I'll try the new phone tonight and see if that helps.

Nokia Lumia 822 auto powering off--WOULD NEVER BUY AGAIN!!!!!

I think I might have found the problem (Edit: I was wrong). I don't mean to point fingers at a particular app, but the problem has not happened since I uninstalled it (Edit: Turns out it's not the app. It happened again). It's been about 2 days and it's still early to tell but it makes sense...

Nokia Lumia 822 auto powering off--WOULD NEVER BUY AGAIN!!!!!

I'm having the same problem. Verizon is replacing the phone, and they are not making me go without a phone -- they are sending it overnight mail, and having me send back the old one after I get the replacement. I'm not sure why others are saying they need to go without a phone for a few days...

    Duplicates in Camera Roll

I ended up starting from scratch and eventually fixed it. It was also happening with Music and I fixed that by starting over and using the Phone App for Windows 7 to sync the music instead of doing it manually.

Phone did not ask me to restore during factory reset

My mistake, I was using the wrong Live account. It's restoring now, downloading data, under the correct account.

Phone did not ask me to restore during factory reset

I think Yes to both those questions. I've never messed with my SIM card but I'm pretty sure it has one.

Phone did not ask me to restore during factory reset

Cool, thanks! I'm also concerned about my data usage. I don't want to download too much now since I'm not on wifi.

Phone did not ask me to restore during factory reset

I just restored my phone to factory defaults, and per MS's instructions, I expected to be asked to restore the phone during the setup, but I never saw that option. So I've got a freshly restored phone, and I'm afraid that a blank backup just copied over my real backup. I am now resetting a...

What's up with the 1 GB RAM requirement ?

I will be as loyal to M.S. as M.S. is to me which is ZERO, NADA, or even negative if that were possible. M.S. doesn't care if I live or go bankrupt or get kicked into the gutter. I use MS phone because it is the best, and the moment it is the not the best, I will stop using it. Microsoft is...

    Duplicates in Camera Roll

For a period of time it looks like many of my photos, about 30, (and 1 video!) were duplicated 11 times in the camera roll. At first I thought a rapid-multi pic app might have been the culprit, but that doesn't explain the video, and when I open the phone on my computer I just see 1 of each...

    Unable to Edit Music Details

Hi, I'm unable to edit details on unprotected MP3 files using Windows 8 phone plugged into Windows 7. I've tried doing it using both WMP, and the file system. (although I guess it's not regular usb mass storage.) WMP shows the edit option greyed out. I supposed I could try takinig out the SD...

    Future of Nokia Drive?

Residing, I'm happy with the phone, but before I knew how great the phone is, sub par mapping/gps would have turned it into a deal killer.

App to find location of friends and family

MorbidFun, Hi, I'm just trying to navigate the Windows Phone website in order to add a family member and it only allowed me to add a kid. So I went ahead and added my wife as a kid since I saw no other option. Then AFTER that I had the option to add a parent. But naturally I then had to...

App to find location of friends and family

Latitude never worked well for me. Information was sporadic. I was hoping for something better. I guess latitude can suck, since they have no competition. I bought gMaps Pro, mostly for street view. Latitude seems to pick up only the last location registered by an Android phone (or PC...

    Future of Nokia Drive?

I don't mean to complain, but I'm gonna go ahead and do that, and sound foolish here... I actually asked 3 cell phone guys if the GPS on WP phone had all the features like satellite overlay and everything else my previous Android phone did, and I had to trust them when they said "yeah, sure...

    WP8 Newbie Tips

I have apps for the Lock Screen, but do not see weather. Does anyone know if I need a certain weather app to get this (Nokia Lumia 822)?

    Instagram on Windows Phone

I'm fresh from the Android world and I think they brainwash folks to think these Instagram/Pintrest type websites are so hip and cool, but they might very well be forgotten 5-10 years from now. I'm really more interested in business and productivity apps. I like that Office is already built in...

    Will Windows Mobile ever succeed?

Re: The good things about WP8 (Why WP will succeed) Overall the WP OS is very snazy and professional. As far as a professional phone, it's interface is better than Blackberry -- last I checked, I felt like Dilbert while using a Blackberry. My Nokia phone has Removable/upgradable memory which...

    Future of Nokia Drive?

Just wondering if anyone knows when Nokia Drive might come out of "Beta", and why is it called Beta now when it seems to work fine? (I have verizon, Lumia 822) When I say it works fine, there are some features that would be nice, such as the ability to adjust your routes while looking at the...
