What I do is download the .iso, mount it using imDisk (probably could use explorer but haven't yet) and using the Manage function (Right click This PC), I build a VHD (formatted) and install the TPR build there. Next is to create a boot call using EasyBCD to add the VHD to the bootable options...

8.1 works well for me. This is being typed on it right now in a VHD installation. Even my old Access 97 databases work fine. I might stumble over some things that don't do as well but so far, all is go.
