This morning, People still not working but Calendar and the rest, including Mail. I did nothing else but close it down overnight and reboot.

    Taking the plunge

I let it Fast Ring install over the previous build which was pretty good. The best I can say for 10122 is that, at least in my installation, Spartan/Edge works very well. People, Mail and Calendar start and stop almost immediately I do not have an icon for Feedback. Had to send feedback on...

Build 10080 - Where is Office?

I also have a 1520 and it will not even list in Store beta after two clean installs. Back to 8.1 which is looking better and better with every TP/IP build I try.

W10M Insider Bugs & Defects Thread (pre 10586.164)

Re: Windows 10 for Phones Bugs & Defects Thread Got the Store (beta) but no Office apps listed, no OneDrive (greyed out). This is on a 1520, second install after hard reset from 1st install and hard reset and install. First install was atrocious for battery life and very hot. Kinda hard to...

Anyone else missing Store Beta in 10080?

Add another. Also even though I did several hard resets, the new OS almost sucked the full battery down in about 5 hours to 20% and the normal charger couldn't keep up. I put it on a 1.2amp charger and got up enough to trust a Recovery which is almost done as I type. I'll pass until a more...

    Build 10074 on main computer

If I had only a single HD or SSD on the machine and had room for another 30GB partition and could download EasyBCD first, then yes I'd do it. But only under those conditions. Another safe approach is (if you have HD space is to make a 30GB Virtual HD using Win 7 and, again setup dual booting...

    Am I missing something?

I had a similar experience with the x86 build on a laptop. I had an account but that was not the problem. The problem showed to be a corrupt Chinese language file in the iso. I formatted the drive, downloaded another x86 version of the iso, installed and all is good. So indeed you might...

MS should make a TV version of Windows 10

Re: I don't care whether they spend any time on a fancied up WMC, just get the bloody thing to play on Win 10! And yes I do have strong feelings about it.:orly:

How to get Windows 10 tech preview for pc?

What I do is download the .iso, mount it using imDisk (probably could use explorer but haven't yet) and using the Manage function (Right click This PC), I build a VHD (formatted) and install the TPR build there. Next is to create a boot call using EasyBCD to add the VHD to the bootable options...

"OneDrive" is incompatible with Windows 8.1, hilarious

EchoOne30, not sure what you are trying to do nor what your desktop configuration is but OneDrive/Skydrive works fine for me in Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit in whatever I've tried to do which is not a lot other than to make most of my files online only to save space. They seem to work when I need them...

Wow can a Surface ever cause a stir....in Mac land....

It never ceases to amaze me that so many people continue to dislike Win 8/8.1 because of the "strange user interface". I can see where the Metro/Modern interface is useful on phones and tablets but it is completely unneeded for desktop use which I would expect major companies to use in...

Field Test Mode - Signal Strength to aim Yagi Antenna

It's my impression that what OP is trying to find out is the best received signal strength observed while rotating/manipulating the antenna position. He wants to look at numbers as opposed to bar indicators as I understand it. Back in the last century we used to have to do this by one guy on...

    Installed Windows 8.1 this weekend

8.1 works well for me. This is being typed on it right now in a VHD installation. Even my old Access 97 databases work fine. I might stumble over some things that don't do as well but so far, all is go.
