Nevermind, resolved my issue. Our Exchange administrator decided to expire licenses for no apparent reason.

Update: Clearly not the latest version of Outlook, as it's not even working when setting up the device new and blocking the Outlook/Calendar update. I'm running the latest insider preview, and the issue started at like 5 last night, is anyone else having similar?!

I use it when I actually need navigation/traffic, for long haul trips, etc. I bought it last year on sale. Works well, and it's changing to a UWP app soon, so it'll work on all your W10 devices.

The darnedest thing, everything was working for a week, and now without change my internet sharing stopped working a few days ago. Settings in AP have gone unchanged, and mms still works. Not sure what's going on, but the service mode trick doesn't work either.

My backup was recently upgraded from a Huawei Comet, to the Lumia 521. It's the perfect backup for the 1020, it's got all the apps I need/want when I'm in an area I don't trust having my 1020, and is literally the same experience. Replaceable battery on a backup device was also important to me.

I guess the problem we have, is that our family calendars are in google already, so we'd have to migrate over, and then they wouldn't be as nice when my family was using gmail. I haven't looked into syncing those types of things yet, but maybe that's a possibility. It would just be cool to have...

I agree with built in, that's for sure. I'm thinking about getting the stickers for the Samsung and working on a custom case solution that doesn't have the finicky pogo pins. I'd rather not modify the phone too much more as I'd like to be able to resell it eventually.
