Any AT&T ATIV S Neo owners out here?

From 8.0, get your phone to your liking. Then upgrade to DP. NEVER do a hard reset after you update or you'll lose your operator settings. Even entering the settings manually will only regain you partial data functionality. You'll be able to do everything that requires data except use the built...

NO MMS after 8.1 DP preview ATT

Perhaps for you, but mine had SIM and SD in during a reset and operator settings were wiped regardless. Nothing about this phone on AT&T makes sense when it comes to a hard reset.

Any way to roll back to 8.0?

Great news for Sprint users, but this thread was about the AT&T Neo, which doesn't have a rom in the wild.

    Cellular Data problem, please help!

Or read the several posts right in this very forum that provide answers. The short version is - you can get data back with the apn settings. Forget receiving mms or group texting again until Samsung releases an update.

Will the ATT variant of this phone get 8.1 update from ATT?

Yes you can upgrade via DP. No you can't roll back. There are no roms available to use the limited tools available for this phone. If you upgrade to DP and never have to hard reset, you'll be fine. If you reset, the phone won't properly read carrier settings and you won't be able to receive MMS...

    8.1 and the Neo

Yes, we already know that a straight upgrade to 8.1 DP works as usual. It's when you do a hard reset afterwards that things go wrong. If you know your carriers APN settings and don't care about receiving MMS or group texting, then you'll be fine.

    8.1 and the Neo

Confirmed. You also can't receive MMS. Send is fine. Reset kills the phones ability to read carrier info properly (there are threads about this that I read AFTER I had to hard reset) Hoping for an update from Samsung to re-enable pulling carrier info from the sim correctly. Perhaps even the...

    Data Not Working?

Using the same AT&T settings I can SEND mms, but not receive. How about you?

Any way to roll back to 8.0?

At&T Neo. I know Nokias have the Software Recovery Tool or Updater for Retail. Anything similar for Samsung? I wanted to do some 8/8.1 testing

A Deal I Stumbled Upon (ATIV S Neo)

Picked one up to add to my WP collection. It's in great condition. One tiny nick in the 'chrome' near a corner. My only annoyance was having to manually enter the internet/mms settings.

    WP 8.1 Custom Dictionary

This exactly! If YOU don't want to use those words that's fine, don't add them, but don't tell me what I can't use on mine.

    Tempered glass screen protector

I'm on my 4th 1520 now [leaned against a sharp edge with it in my pocket/faulty battery expanded and broke the digitizer/turned off #3 and it never came back on (MS Store loved that one)], so I have it in a case with a screen protector at all times to minimize the chances of needing a 5th. Not...

    WP 8.1 = YES, Cortana = NO

To each their own. I was ecstatic to hear they kept the name and used Jen Taylor for the non synthesized phrases.

    WP 8.1 Custom Dictionary

Does anyone (with the SDK or an actual copy of Preview) know if MS stopped censoring what we can add to our personal dictionary?

No Data Toggle switch on 8.1

Can't you just turn on airplane mode then tick wifi on/off as needed if you're concerned about mobile data usage?

Windows Phone major updates to have 6-8 months cycle now.

I'll believe it when I see it. Just honest skepticism based on past performance. I love WP8, but sometimes I feel they're not sure where they're going.

Why did you decide to buy a windows phone?

Needed a quick (cheap) replacement for a broken iPhone. Grabbed a 521 and never looked back.

Went to AT&T and they had the retail price listed as $419.99...

Is there some sort of discount "full retail" price for people on NEXT?
