Thanks for your reply. My primary concern is "proving" to the repair shop that the screen isn't working properly. An average person with the phone in his hands for 10 seconds or so wouldn't really be able to know unless he/she is really observant.

Ok so turns out that I barely had any data on my phone memory so the SD Card data I have is sufficient. But can I directly put this SD card into an android phone and start using it without removing the existing pics/videos? Or will it only work with other windows phones?

Yup. I applied the updates (in one go though) and now I'm at 8.10.14176.243 But the update looks like it caused quite a lot of battery issues. I guess I shouldn't have applied it lol

I am running Windows Phone OS 8.10.12393.890 on my Lumia 520 (with Cyan) and I just enrolled for the Preview for Developers program and immediately got a notification that there is an update ready for download. Which update is this? I can't find any information on this anywhere.

I'd like a decent clipboard, with the option to 'cut' text. Also, locking the screen cleans the clipboard and the copied text is lost. Android's clipboard on the other hand maintains a history of copied text.

I did have an option to backup but no option to restore it once the update finished installing.

The problem resolved only after doing a hard reset. I suggest you do the same.

I made a backup before updating to Cyan and right now my Lumia 520 is downloading all the apps that I used to have because I chose to restore the backup. Is there any way to get back the home screen I used to have back? I can't find the option to restore the star/home screen anywhere.

Hey, Cyan update is out. So we have two alternatives - downgrade to WP8 and get Cyan or stay on PFD and get Cyan later. Hope the delay isn't too much for PFD users.
