    Microsoft To-Do is fantastic

I still use wunderlist and will continue to do so until ToDo offers something useful. Seriously, making a simple ToDo app is something you can watch people doing in every programming language in under 60 minutes. But I have hope, my guess is that they want to integrate the backend into the...

    Surface Laptop Wishlist

I would wish for a 360° hinge. I am currently using a Spectre x360 and I love the hinge. I think, without the 360° hinge, the pen support is pretty useless. An USB-Type C + Thunderbold port would be nice for charging, docking stations, etc... But I guess they had to surrender this to not anger...

I would like to have the XL, because I am looking for a phablet.

    Nokia's new Android phone...

No. As an independent company they had every right to not have any plans for a flagship. Maybe McLaren could have been saved if they had invested heavily in it early 2014, but that is hard to prove (and again: Independent company).

    Nokia's new Android phone...

My guess is, this thing is only a fan made render. And a ridiculous as well. Nokia is allowed to enter the phone market on 01.01.2016. That's quiet some time away, now it's to early for a real leak. That said, I have no doubt that Nokia will release a Nokia C/Z/X/S/E 1 as early as possible and...

    Cortana in Germany

I'm pretty impressed with her understanding accuracy. Use her mainly for alarms and some gimmicks, but shuffled also a calendar item around. The last one was very impressive.

Yet another 920 to 830 (up/side)grade discussion... Plus the One M8

My knowledge of the definition of the word exceptional. And: W10, as unified platform, will probably have higher hardware demands than WP8. Because W10 is a unified approach and WP8 was tailored for phones. I'm not saying that it won't work acceptable, but if the main goal is to have a future...

Yet another 920 to 830 (up/side)grade discussion... Plus the One M8

I wouldn't count on exceptional performance under Windows 10 on a Snapdragon 400. But hey, specs aren't everything. If you like the 830 and don't like the M8, it's a no-brainer.

Microsoft just upset existing Low End Users

The 535 is a really attractive offer. But keep in mind, it's sold for ~180$ and clearly more expensive than the 630/635. It's the entry level smartphone for those who can't make a compromise. Do you really think, that a FFC should start at the 730? Nokia was really stupid to think so...

Here you go: http://www.theverge.com/2014/11/13/7216421/microsoft-says-every-lumia-windows-phone-8-device-will-get-windows-10 If it's available on AT&T, I would consider a 930, especially if you don't care about glance.

Yet another 920 to 830 (up/side)grade discussion... Plus the One M8

Can you have the 930? What's the price tag for all of these choices? W10 was confirmed for all Lumia devices, so the M8 has this weak point of uncertainty...

Why do I and my daughter receive each others messages on Nokia Lumia 520 and 630?

Re: why do i and my daughter receive each others messages on nokia lumia 520 and 630 I assume you are logged in on both devices with the same Microsoft account? If yes, the message duplicating probably comes from the backup getting synced. Deactivate SMS backups. Or better: 2 people, 2 accounts.

IDC: WP share to double by 2018, Android and iOS to fall

This forecast is no good news at all. If they really need another three years to reach ~5%, I think Microsoft will cancel any further consumer efforts by the end of 2018. They need at least 10% to become relevant and the fight for double digit market share is a declared target for years for...

Do we really need the web apps?

Yes and no. But mainly no. Reading mode is no option if you want to use a social, chat, map or otherwise interactive app. It could work for news apps. And there you have to wait until it's fully loaded and sometimes it doesn't work.

Do we really need the web apps?

Pinned websites are nice. But there is a lot of room for improvement on Windows Phones related to this. E. g., a pinned website should open in full screen mode.

Here is why I think that Windows 10 is Microsoft's last chance

Mods can now close this thread. Didn't wanted another generic "time-is-running-out" thread, just wanted to add an argument why I think "wait for Windows 10.1" won't cut it this time for a broad group of people.

Here is why I think that Windows 10 is Microsoft's last chance

You completely missed my point. I'm at the moment pretty happy with Windows Phone 8.1. And thanks to the promised update to 10, I have no plans to leave. For now. But if Microsoft can't deliver with 10 AND Nokia offers a competitive Android phone, I think Microsoft has a very big problem.
