One heck of a week for W10 Mobile. What's everyone feeling?

I will leave my vision on what has been done wrong in my country, Brazil. Many people had a Windows phone here back in 2014, so we were a key market to MS's mobile division. When they decided to switch from WP 8.1 to the W10M, all they needed here was offering new models. The problem was...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Anyway, it's still not an official release.

Mine's working fine. Lumia 950 DS.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Calm down, man... It's still a fast ring insider build. It's not the final release build yet...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

At first, 15063 was great. Now Edge is killing my battery on the background, even though it's forbidden to run in the background. Just terrible.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Suddenly, Edge started to drain a lot of my battery in the background, even though its set NOT to run in the background. I've blocked it both on the privacy and battery tabs, but the issue remains. This build was perfect, but it seems to be degrading with time.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

This is the first Windows Phone/Windows Mobile build SINCE MY OLD LUMIA 1020 that actually works flawlessly with my car's stereo! I had three different VW models since the Lumia 1020 (and two different phones, namely a 930 and a now a 950), all with the same stereo model (VW's RCD 510). All...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

So far, this build works flawlessly to me. I have come from the official AU to fast ring builds without a single hard reset for two months now and my 950 DS has been almost bug free ever since. No problems with bluetooth pairing here.

I keep coming back to Windows Phone

I really like W10M now with the latest fast ring builds, but it's too late to have any hopes regarding the platform. The camera of my Lumia 950 is stellar and is certainly gonna be missed, but let's face it: MS really lost the battle. They should have stick with the 8.1 version, which was by...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I had that on the previous build (before the 51). I haven't used navigation ever since. I'll try that out and report it back here. Other than that: I skipped the 55 build and stayed on 51. My 950 DS feels pretty stable and fast, and I haven't even made a clean install. Everything works as it...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I've noticed a drastic reduction in the amount of battery eaten by the Edge browser in this build, which is quite good. My 950 even used to get a little warm during web browsing before, and now it runs cooler than ever.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I have moved from the production build to the fast ring two builds ago. I haven't done a hard reset and I reckon this one is the fastest and more reliable build I've seen so far on my Lumia 950. This feels like what the WM10 should have been from the start. Really happy with my phone right now.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15047 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I've just have a reboot issue after connecting my 950 to my car's usb hub. It rebooted five times before I decided not to use the third party USB-C cable I regularly use and to use the original MS cable that was lying inside my backpack. Guess what? The reboot issue was gone. I can't tell...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15047 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I guess it's an old bug. I have it since the last production build as well. It seems that cleaning the cache and other browser settings helps getting rid of the issue.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15043 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I've felt that way too. The main advantage I see is the ability to encrypt the micro SD card and to reset an app to it's original state. I guess that speed wise it's on WP 8.1 levels as well, which is an improvement over RS1.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15043 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I've just faced my first problem today after connecting the phone to the wall charger. The phone suddenly rebooted and then got stuck on the Microsoft logo screen. I could not get it back to its normal state until I removed the battery. The soft reset did not work. This was the first reboot...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15043 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I'm enjoying more and more this new build. It finally feels like WP8.1 in terms of speed. Maybe I'm lucky, but I have got a pretty decent battery life in this build as well. I had only to restore a couple of apps to their original states (a welcome new feature) so I got everything running as...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15043 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Switched to the fast lane after quite a while on the release preview one. The update rolled absolutely smooth on my 950 DS and it's been running perfectly ever since. I have never had such a smooth transition between WM10 versions, to be honest. I guess this is very close to release now...

    ProShot camera app.

I have some questions: Is it possible to have more steps on the manual exposure menus? I mean, sometimes the one-stop gaps between each setting are just awful. For instance, it would be nice to have additional steps in between ISO 400 and 800. Having 1 stop gaps don't help when we really need...
