A typical consumer will only pay an additional few bucks per year for power efficiency. The power consumption of an HDD/SSD/RAM is minuscule when compared to the power consumption of power-hungry components like the CPU/GPU/Mobo/etc... Performance/per watt and reliability are all that matter...
