Why is the WindowsCentral website so slow/heavy?

Yes, if you check any other sites, they load/open very fast.

Check out the WMPOWERUSER.com or any other site they are very fast and not as heavy as windows central website, why Windows Central, are you building a Bootstrap site as how wmpoweruser is?:unhappy:

Are you talking about the desktop or mobile version of the website? The website in general is quite content heavy but the desktop version runs quite quickly. There is a noticeable slow load on my Lumia 920.

It's because of all the TONS of ads here. There have been many threads about this problem.

Yeah, lots of Ads.

Its for both the versions - Desktop and mobile, its very slow.

Even though, the mobile version doesn't have the Ads, its still very slow.

May be they need to re-write the Site's code as its apparent that it has a lot of performance issues(heavy loading issues)
