Just considering buying a wellograph, just after some thoughts of anyone using it are they any good? Will be syncing with Lumia 930

Thanks

It's a good bit of gear, but apart from steps, HR, Sleep, there is nothing for notifications. Would a fitness tracker fit the bill better?

However I am not trying to step on your wishes.....it does have one thing all fitness trackers can not do, a Watch Face.

Thanks, contacted wellograph support last night and got this reply this morning from them
'We keep adding new features all the time. Most recently was the new Sit mode that will remind you to stand or move at least once every 30 minutes, helping you break up too-long sitting sessions.

Our product is a wellness watch so the features we are most focused on are wellness, sport, and fitness-related first.

The productivity-focused features like notifications, we are also interested but may not be top priority for the time being. '

So there is a possibility that they will be adding more in the future

I do not wish to cause anything by my comments, but that e-mail is the kiss of death. As with all other Smart Watches, iOS and Android will see development and Windows Phone support will go cold.

Any way, as I have said, it is a good bit of gear, and if you like and buy, then I will wish you nothing but happiness and enjoyment !!! It does have a plus in good battery life, from all the reviews I have seen.

Sorry, for the slight thread resurrection, but I just noticed this thread myself and thought I'd put my two cents in as a Wellograph owner.

First off, on any platform (Android, Windows phone, etc), this is only a "fitness / health-focused" watch. While some features may be added in the future, for the time being you will get *NO* notifications or updates on the watch regardless of what phone you connect it to.

With that out of the way, those that still pick up a Wellograph watch will find that the watch appears quite well-made and feels solid. Their website lists the watch is made from stainless steel, aluminum, and sapphire for the screen. I can't say that I have beat mine up that much, but it seems capable enough of withstanding some punishment at least.

For what it does, the fitness stuff, it seems to work well and the data matches up relatively closely with other fitness tracking device's. I did have some curious / possibly incorrect data with the sleep tracking. However, maybe that was just me or my particular watch.

As far as the Windows phone compatibility, I was able to connect the Wellograph to my Nokia Lumia 635 running Cyan (WP 8.1). They do have an app in the Windows phone app store, but as mentioned above, they may be focusing on other platforms first. The below are screenshots from each of the supported platforms (Android, iOS, and Windows phone). As you can see, the Windows phone app hasn't been updated in quite some time and the others have received a steady stream of updates.

None the less, the below screenshots are from the Windows phone app. They give you a good example of what the Wellograph will currently do on Windows phone...

As you can see, you can access the data from the Wellograph and see a history of what you have done. I'll keep an eye on this thread, so if anyone has any questions, post them up!

Does any one know if it has an ambient light sensor or does the backlight stay on all the time
There is a sensor on the front of it that could very well be an ambient light sensor, not 100% on that one (it's not listed on their official web site),

However, it definitely does not control the backlight if it is. The backlight stays off most of the time and can be turned on by pressing the bottom button on the right hand side.

Kind of stuck what to go for got another band coming tomorrow the third I've had as the other two broke and really just want a decent watch with a few perks

Couple of other questions is it comfy to wear? Is it quite bulky? How many clock faces can you set

Thanks

The materials it is made out of feel solid and definitely have a "quality" feel to them. However, solid may not always equal comfortable to all wrists/people. Personally, I didn't have any issues with wearing it the whole day, but my wrists are quite thin and others may have a different experience than I there.

As far as being "bulky", the design is asymmetric, which can lead to it feeling a little chunky. This, again, will be a personal preference thing. However, here is a pic of the Wellograph next to a Asus ZenWatch (a popular Android Wear smartwatch)... Just for comparison.

The watch faces are definitely a pain point... There aren't many. I'll have to take pictures of them for you later and post them up. However, off the top of my head, I believe there were only like 3 or 4 watch faces.

As mentioned above, here are pics of the few watch faces available:

If you do decide to pick up a Wellograph, I'd suggest looking at eBay first. I purchased this one from eBay at considerably less cost than retail.

Also, a couple more pics of the watch's other screens:

Decisions, decisions! :)

Yea, I'd definitely include the Pebble/Pebble Steel or even Pebble Time into the decision making process (as long as you don't mind doing a little tinkering/side loading).

I hate to see people leave the WP ecosystem if that's where they want to be, but I completely understand if you want more wearable options.

IOS has a few options, however if you go Android you'll end up with many, many choices. For better or worse, the truly largest selection of wearables is available for Android devices at the moment.
