I'm not confident any will see Sprint - it didn't seem very WP friendly to begin with and it doesn't seem to have changed.

Yes, they most definitely want us on iPhone Forever plan. Not sure I can stomach that...I'm shopping to move off of Sprint using a Blu Win HD LTE for a while, or waiting to see if the Insider Program comes to the 8XT now that the WDRT supports it...

it's frustrating

I'm not sure where you've seen that the 950 or 950 XL support Sprint's network requirements.

The 950 and 950 XL have zero CDMA radio usage enabled. Please do not confuse the similar initials WCDMA which is a GSM variation of the protocol for CDMA networks. They require different equipment on the network side and different radios on the phone. There are some notations on both WCDMA and CDMA in this wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Mobile_Telecommunications_System

Sprint runs LTE on Bands 25, 26 and 41. These Bands operate on 850 MHz for Band 26, 1900 MHz for Band 25 and 2500 MHz for Band 41. The same frequencies on the LTE radio of the 950 and 950 XL represent 850 MHz for Band 5, 1900 MHz for Band 2 and 2500 MHz is missing, closet being the Upper 2500 - Lower 2600 of Band 38. Even if the frequencies are similar, there is no interoperability between these bands. Check these tables: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks#Americas and reference this wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-UTRA

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are wholly unsuited for Sprint.

Sorry.
