Why wont Skype or Messenger work on a windows 10 phone?

[Windows Central Question]

I have a microsoft Lumia 550 with windows 10. Skype doesnt work on it, Messenger works in a limited fashion. If I want to call people on Skype or Messenger I have to use my work Samsung! Not funny!
Skype preview(?) wont download from the store. On messenger the phone icon is NEVER active so I cant call people, only message them.But everything works really well on my android phone. And it worked well on my old Lumia with 8.1.

I definitely think there's a problem with messenger call. Can't do much about that.
But don't know about the skype.
