I'm excited by the idea of getting Sony WP 8.1 devices. I want to jump ship from Samsung to Nokia for the camera, but Sony is the one OEM who could rival Nokia in the camera department. I'm in love with AMOLED though, and to my knowledge, Sony only has LCD technology.

They didn't sell the brand name. But just their hardware division pretty much

Hmm...if Xperia is to Android, are they going to use the VAIO name for a potential WP device?

Just like 12Danny123 has said they only sold the hardware division off they can still use the VAIO name for the device which would make it even more awesome if they use the name for there WP8.1 device!

Eh, I'm down with Nokia tbh but Sony hardware may be the company to at least cause my eyes to stray.

Their xperia line has always been amazing. Camera wise though....im not sure. If we are talking 1520/icon there is some challenge from Sony with Nokia.

I'm loving the Z2 looks perfect apart from it not having WP on it.

I wouldn't mind a design like Sony Ericsson Arc or the Arc S that was one of my favourite design phones made by SONY.

I've only owned 3 brands for mobile phones. Ericsson, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson.

When MS takes over Nokia, Sony would be a definite choice for me

Odd news to hear Sony if they come to use windows on there phones. But I'll wait and see how they get on with hardware and software updates. To much bad history with there products from TV, video, Hi-fi, DVD all breaking after the warranty and there middle of the road approach to android phones with no follow-up with software updates and very quick to drop support . but there has been some improvements with there z line in phones and if they come with WP8.1 i'll keep my eye on how there doing and if they bring anything to WP .. so a no for me just now.

I'm thinking SONY will include there services exclusively to there devices if they release a WP8.1 device at June such as Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited etc.

Which would be great if they include music unlimited because I pay monthly for it.

I'm a Microsoft guy through and through. But I have a great appreciation for Sony phones and Sony TV's. Make the phone happen, Sony! Might make me switch from Nokia.

Edit: I really hope at least one of these is a high-end device with capacitive buttons and a camera button.
