Could anyone fix this issue with the described workaround:

Skype users, beware of this one. The newest build removes all of your messages and contacts from the messaging app. Fortunately there is a workaround for the issue. Navigate to the following path in File Explorer and delete or rename the file called ?PrivateTransportId?

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

Be sure to restart the app after doing so.

didn't work for me - neither on Laptop (ASUS ROG 750) nor on SP3 (i7, 8GB, 265)

yeah having the same problem... my messaging app is empty, doesn't even recognise contacts. ive deleted the file specified, even rebooted the pc, still no luck.

I'm hoping the messaging apps receive a significant update before TH2 is rolled out to the general public.
