Cortana, Xbox app & photos not working

I'm on the fast ring & since the last couple of updates I have been unable to access my news, weather & traffic info when I open Cortana (blank screen with just the circle asking what I want). Also Xbox app still won't show/enable me to play any of my games & I'm unable to 'favourite' any of my photos cos the button is just not there. Am I the only one who has these probs? Am I just being thick & doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, you're not the only one.
I have this on my Lumia 535 and 650.
They both worked fine on the Threshold build (10586.318), but since upgrading to the fast ring the last 2 or 3 builds have this issue.
I did a hard reset on the Lumia 535 but the problem remained.
I have upvoted my problem in the feedback app.

What region are you?
I changed my region and language from UK to US and the news, weather and traffic came back.
Then changed Region (Country/Region and Regional format to UK / English (United Kingdom), restarted and still ok.
The language needs to stay as English (United States) or Cortana stops showing the news and info, etc.
