Build 10149 on 1520 Gone Crazy

Hi!
I updated my 1520 (ATT) today to the new build, and no apps would open, so i did a hard reset. Since then:
1) I only get gears going for a minute, progress bar goes about a quarter of the way, then a frown, solid blue screen (no words), then powers down.
2) Hard reset just continuously reboots after the Nokia logo ((continuous reboot while holding down the Vol Down button after releasing the Power button)
3) Attempts to get a lightning bolt fail every time, except for once, when it gave me a lightning bolt and a small gear next to it.
4) Plugging it in via brand new USB does nothing except boot to Nokia logo then the gears and frown, PC does not detect, so neither the old Nokia updater, nor the new Windows tool detect it to take it back to 8.1.
Ideas anyone? Thought about trying to take it to ATT tomorrow...
Thanks in advance for any advice! It is much appreciated!

I had the same issue. Finally fixed it by plugging into my pc and using Windows phone recovery tool. Reinstalled new firmware, then back to 8.1, and now finally back on build 10149 which is working flawlessly.

I also had the same issue on the same phone.

In the windows phone recovery tool click on my phone isn't listed or whatever it says and then soft reset the phone while connected. For me it then found the phone listed as UEFI device or something like that and proceed to recover normally.

Thanks guys for your advice! Regrettably, I have tried this several times and still cannot get the Recovery Tool to do anything after I click on device not detected - it asks if it is Nokia or HTC, then just sits on "Waiting for Connection" despite being connected and trying soft resets.

Re: Build 10149 on 1520 Gone Crazy

This might be related to something I experienced yesterday where a hard reset resulted in continuous looping spinning gear with a frowny face on my HTC One M8. Others have also posted something similar when performing a hard reset, so it seems to be an issue some of us are experiencing.

Just like you, WPRT wouldn't detect my phone. I had to let the phone reset several times while accessing the bootloader page (It's volume up + down at the HTC screen, not sure what it is for Nokia) before I was able to manually detect it using the tool. Might want to try to give it a go over multiple resets before you catch it at the right time. Make sure you click "I can't detect my phone" over multiple stages.

Good morning! I wondered if trying multiple times in a row would get it done. For whatever reason, my old iPad was the same way - trying several times in a row would reset the ROM and let you restore it with a jailbroken image. Thanks ncbartxchi for the suggestion! Will try now.

Hey guys, I was thinking to install this build on my Lumia 730 and Lumia 520, is this build as stable as using it on daily basis?

Have the people that experienced this just gotten the problem after upgrading or did it kick in later?

Re: Build 10149 on 1520 Gone Crazy

For me, it was several hours after upgrading. I actually did a successful first hard rest, but it was the second hard reset that bit the dust. Flashed back to 8.1 using the WPRT to install 10149 back on. First hard reset again with 10149 went fine, but I definitely won't try another one. If I have to hard rest, I'll just reflash to 8.1 using the WPRT. I was worried I had bricked my phone when it took a while to actually get the WPRT to detect it.

For me, the upgrade installed fine directly from 10122, but then apps wouldn't open. It was after the first hard reset that it went haywire.

Interesting, well I won't panic if it happens then. But I've been running fine since the upgrade.

Yep that the same story I have now with my 735, 2nd hard reset crush syndrome ;)

I've made HR twice again just now for test and the same thing happened again
U think that's an issue for 10149 ?
