Why is Cortana getting detected as malware by Bitdefender Internet Security?

Cortana getting detected as malware by Bitdefender Internet Security!

Hi,
I have Windows 10 tech preview, Build 9879. For last 2 days, whenever I use the search button (next to windows button on taskbar); it's not working.
Bitdefender flags it as Cortana 1.3.1.136_x86 Potentially suspicious malware something...
Any comments?!

I'm going to guess here that BitDefender haven't updated their software in order to recognize Cortana in the lastest build of Windows 10 TP. You'll need to refer to BitDefender's website for details on when their software will be updated. Or simply uninstall BitDefender until a patch is released.

Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 wouldn't install in Windows 10 for me. Personally, I'd either just use Windows Defender, SUPERAntiSpyware free and Mallwarebytes Anti-Malware free. Most of the big names aren't going to release version's of their security software until Microsoft releases the Windows 10 Consumer Preview. Even then it will probably still take a while for some companie's, especially now that Microsoft has changed the kernel in Windows 10.Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 were all I beleive 6,00 series kernel. Windows 10 is now 10,000 series kernel. That means most software needs to be recoded to work in the higher kernel number.

ehh? actually conflicts with the 10.00 kernal version would be rarer then ones with issues..
