There was no news about any official newsstand type of application/store. This is an area where Windows is sadly deficient compared to Google and Apple. I know we have Nook (although the app is practically dead) and Zinio, but its not good enough.
Would also like to see an official podcast app as well, or the ability to subscribe via Xbox Video. We have a lame official Podcast app on Phone but not on tablet/desktop in Windows 8.1.
Would like these to be universal so you get the experiences on desktop / tablet / phone.
