How can I install xampp in windows 10?

[Windows Central Question]

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 Touch-Screen computer. I recently installed Windows 10 on it.

I can't install a program "xampp" in my computer. I even can't resolve this with the troubleshooting option.

I need this program to start working with a webpage.

I hope somebody could help me!!!!

What's exactly happening when you try and install it?

When I double-click the installer nothing happens!

When I use troubleshooting, i select windows 8.1 configuration and nothing happens too!

Even that, The pc got freeze and I have to shut it down every time.

Have you tried the portable version that doesn't require any installation? That could possibly work.

XAMPP Portable - Download - COMPUTER BILD It's a German site, but you should be able to handle that. Just click the download button and then "Download starten" on the next page.

It works in win10!! i was trying several things and reinstalling other version 4 times but the portable version it does work!

i am using dell inspiron 15 touch screen laptop and i have just upgraded my OS from windows 8.1 to windows 10 64-bit now xampp could not start apache.

i uninstall it and downloaded xampp portable, only to find out that it is for 32-bit only.

please help with link for xampp portable 64-bit

its working, the problem was caused by skype because the share same port

is there any portable xampp that is not the latest version that I can download? The latest version comes with php7 that uses PDO my previous codes aren't on PDO yet

Thanks a lot... I was able to download it but then am unable to open phpmyadmin. It says,

MySql and apache both shows running on the xampp interface

There is no password
