It expires in October as far as I remember, by which time the retail version will be released...

Considering Microsoft are offering an free upgrade path from pirated versions of Windows 7 and XP, wonder if they will allow W10 TP users the same free upgrade rights to the final version ?

No. Even though Microsoft are allowing non-genuine versions of Windows to be upgraded to Windows 10, the upgrade process does not grant a user license - the copy of Windows 10 will also be "non-genuine" and thus unsupported and liable not to be patched and protected with defender.
