Can I insert my preinstalled windows 8 product key into windows 10 tech preview?

I have now made 9926 my daily driver, so now when the time comes with rtm, I would like to have permanently activated windows. I just want to know if it is possible to use OEM key in windows 10. Since I have not upgraded from 8 but performed a clean install using the iso provided.

Try and see , you won't lose anything , and it will probably work if the key was valid
