Why is my Windows 10 10041 build video/audio skipping?

Windows 10 10041 build video/audio skipping

SP3 running 10 preview build 10041 and I'm getting terrible clicking, skipping, buzzing, etc on everything from youtube videos, local videos played in VLC, soundcloud streaming music, etc

Had these problems on 9926 and prayed it would be resolved but nope, driving me insane. I've read a bunch of "update your drivers" posts but they NEVER have the correct version. Also experiencing the 1/27 hardware update install loop. Any suggestions?

OP here.. your question is the exact question I'm asking. What versions work? If I have the right video/audio drivers then I know the problem is something else

I think the latest one is 6.0.1.7458.

I was not on the latest. Used this link to upgrade Realtek to 6.01.7469

Try fresh install via the ISO that was just released

I rollback to default "HD audio device drivers" from Win8.1. Works OK for a moment.
