Hey everyone,

Realtek driver version: R2.75 [The problem was still there when I used default audio drivers shipped with Windows].

I hope you are all doing well. I've been trying to get my system audio front panel to work for a longg time now. I am using build 10041 and the issue still persisted. This is the 3rd build since I've started using Windows 10 and I am still not able to solve the problem. I need front panel to work because my built in audio back panel female jacks decided not to work. When I use back panel, I frequently keep getting "Audio plugged" and "Audio unplugged" popups and there's no audio. I believe it's with the ports. I've permanently started using front panel which works perfectly fine in Windows 7 but not at all in Windows 10 preview. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are all the screenshots that I took to explain things in details.

I hope the images make the problem clear. Looking forward to get some help.

did you try uninstalling and then manually reinstalling the audio drivers? 10041 seems to have a LOT of bugs regarding audio and video displays. I had audio issues that were for the most part fixed by making several attempts to install drivers till they stuck. It will still randomly have driver issues for that and several other things but effective overall

Hey Frank, thanks for replying. I downloaded latest drivers from the hardware provider website and installed through the setup provided with that. Should that be enough for this matter? Or there's some other way of installing it manually?

You should uninstall and reboot your PC before upgrading drivers whenever you're having issues. Is it what you've done or di you just overwrite the old drivers?

Also, do you see an option to use either AC97 or HD Audio Front Panel? Have you checked inside your PC that the front panel audio cables are properly plugged in?

I'm having some of these same issues as well on an older pc that I just resurrected. I chalked it up to possibly a problem with the TP and stopped there. I do have sound but my front panel's aren't working, could this have something to do with the fact my sound is coming from HDMI?

edit: Just remembered, this isn't working on the rear panels with my current rig with 8.1-- again using monitor connected with HDMI

Hey. Thank you for replying vp710. Yes, I did that too. Uninstalled the old drivers and rebooted the computer before the new version. I've even tried every trick that I used to do back in the days of Win 95/98 as well for clean drivers installation. lol. Also, no option for front panel anywhere. Also, the cables are connected correctly inside because on the same computer, it's working perfectly fine in Windows 7. I've installed both operating systems (7 and 10) on two different HDDs. Now I've yet to check the latest build for Windows 10. I'll try that soon and will update here if that fixes the problem.
