New "People" app crashes whenever I try to run also they removed the old one instead of keeping it like they did for the phone build. Does anyone know how to walk through this problem?

I have the same issue. Just a quick flicker of a window. Just doesn't run.

On mine, the window stayed open long enough for me to notice that it contained one contact named A. Test.

It's definitely not ready yet, probably just a placeholder so they can update it.
