RTM upgrade, Can you roll back to 7/8.1 if you chose to (and have a valid licence)?

Hi,

Has there been any statement on this ? When you take a upgrade, Microsoft normally kills your key for your old OS, so there would be no roll back method. This has been clear with Microsoft over the years, going from XP to Vista or 7. If you do the upgrade, then nuke and try to install the old OS, it will give you a invalid Key that cant be activated.

I was wondering if I can do this, take the upgrade, restore my old backup, use Win 7/8.1 and when I am finally ready, do the upgrade to Win 10. I know I wont be ready in a few months to do the upgrade on a few machines and I use Windows Media Center so till there is another option (that works as good), I cant fully move to 10 yet.

Would love to hear directly from MS on this, I know there is a lot of rumors but, I think a lot of us need SOLID facts here.
