Windows 10 reservation and mobile broadband.

My father uses mobile broadband (he usually buys a 3GB package) on his Windows 7 laptop, he has reserved the Windows 10 upgrade (well I did for him...). I was just wondering out of curiosity, is there a way to "stop" it from downloading automatically so he can use my home broadband for the upgrade?

The only thing I can seem to think of is turning off automatic downloads for windows update (IF that will even work...).



Does anyone have any other suggestions or is this a possibility?

You also can cancel the reservation and wait till (a few days) after July 29 and then download the update at your place. (guess your dad can wait a few days more)

Okay thanks Harrie, I'm thinking of grabbing his laptop on the 28th and give it back on the 30th, to see what happens. I'm sure metered connections is only in 8.1 (for example my tablet.)
