Working with partners message?

i'm getting the same message, i'm using a dell system (windows 7 sp1 installed).

Did you fix the problem?

I also have this message, as far as I know this is the normal message when the update is reserved but not yet triggered for the device by microsoft.

Anyone else get this message? Does that mean my laptop is not compatible at the moment?

Some of the PC manufacturers are still working with Microsoft to provide drivers that are compatible with Windows 10. As an example Samsung chat agents are telling users of their PCs that are get the "validating" message that they will have compatible drivers soon. You can force an update by downloading Windows 10 but some functions on your PC may not work correctly, especially computers that have SSD express cache. The Samsung drivers will be delivered through the Samsung SW Update and Windows 10 will show when you run it.

I think the key thing here is that if you are comfortable in downloading the tool to enable Windows 10 to be pushed through to your device early, is that you run the risk of hardware not functioning properly. There are loads of posts around now whereby users are having issues with video cards etc and not displaying correctly.

If you decide to force the upgrade, you will have the option of reverting back to your previous OS, but this is time consuming. Bottom line is, if you are not sure, leave it and the prompt will come once drivers have been updated and that your device is now ready to install Windows 10. Although it's a free upgrade from certain OS's, this is running for 12mths so no rush.
