I installed the Windows 10 update (updated from 8.1), tried it for a few hours, and didn't like the interface, my mouse driver wasn't working correctly, etc. In any case, I rolled back to 8.1, but Windows update keeps forcing the W10 update down my PC's throat. PC gets hung up on checking for new updates. It is clear that I've tried Windows 10 and didn't want it. Is there a way to stop Windows update from insisting that I download Windows 10?! It's really annoying, it's slowing down my computer.

Hey don't give up on it just because of a mouse driver. Both of my computers had wonky mouse drivers after updating but I was able to hunt around on the internet and find working ones. It just takes a little detective work and a little technical knowledge to change the mouse driver. There is also a way to keep Windows 10 from overwriting your mouse driver. I will admit that solving this problem does take a little effort on your part if you are up for that sort of thing....
