Upgrading to Windows 10 overheats HP laptop

I have windows 8.1 installed on my laptop and when I try to upgrade to windows 10, it overheats, shuts down and when I restart it, goes back to windows 8.1.
My fans are clean and everything works just fine with the laptop, I don't understand why is this happening. I also have a friend with a similiar laptop model whos having the same overheating problem when upgrading to windows 10 (in his case, from windows 7)

It happens for me always. Happened while resetting to factory settings too. When I upgraded to 10, I lift it and keep on edge of the table or edge of my lap and in less than 5 minutes it cools down. I believe it automatically throttles up for faster installation or whatsoever. Use a cooling pad if you have one. Let me know if you need any other help . Btw I use hp envy dv6
