After a successful upgrade I can't log in.

Getting error message, "That password is incorrect. Make sure yo're using the password for you Microsoft account. You can always reset it at account.live.com/password/reset."
I just upgrade after purchasing this laptop 2 days ago. After the first restart of the successful upgrade I can't log in. I'm using the right password and have changed it and used that with no success. I can't do anything with this computer and like I said just bought it and need it for work.
Please help.

After changing your password you might have to wait a bit. So try again at the end of the day

I have a feeling its not the password. The error came well before any changes.

for me during the installation window had asked me if I wanted to change for the newest logging. Saying the old password system, well, old. And I went for it.
So I wonder if the password system from Microsoft is not down

have you tried the forgot password button if such exist during logging?

I don't think something like that exists. I've been looking for a work around for hours.

Can you boot using safe mode?

With the Lenovo Edge 15 i have no idea how to get to the BIOS. I've tried all the methods i've found online and can't figure out how to get there.

use msconfig Force Windows 7, 8, or 10 to Boot Into Safe Mode Without Using the F8 Key

turn off pc then turn back on (or restart ) while it is turning on you press the F key.

and I thought it's the F12 key for any computer???

I can't log into the computer to get to msconfig.

f12 ended up working but then i stumbled across an easier way. while selecting restart just hold down shift. durrr. still not fixed but in bios

factory resetting it now.

try going on to account.live.com/password/reset if you are using hotmail or outlook account from any system that has internet connection
Select the Option "I forgot my Password"
Click on NEXT
Select the option Use a phone number
Enter the code
Click on NEXT
You will get a code on your mobile that you need to enter in the box
then you can set a new password.
Try logging on. Should Work

I can't log into the computer to get to msconfig.
